CSPS Undergraduate Student Awards

2021  CSPS National Undergraduate Student Research Program Awards

The Canadian Society for Pharmaceutical Sciences (CSPS) has made the decision that the 2021 CSPS Symposium will be a virtual event.

The CSPS National Undergraduate Student Research Program Awards will be presented in 2021 but there will be some changes as a result of the virtual format.

  1. Each Canadian Pharmacy School will receive one award which consists of a complimentary registration for the winning undergraduate pharmacy student to attend the 2021 CSPS Symposium (virtual) being held May 31-June 3, 2021.

  1. The student must complete a “hypothesis testing” research project. Projects in all disciplines of Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice and Clinical Pharmacy) are eligible. All currently registered “full-time” undergraduate pharmacy students in good standing are eligible for this program.                                                 *Note: Students who have previously held this award are not eligible

  1. Each participating Pharmacy School will choose their own student and sponsoring supervisor and notify the CSPS Office by March 31, 2021.  The student’s abstract should be submitted as a Word file via email to by April 16, 2021. Each abstract should contain an acknowledgement that they are a recipient of the student undergraduate award.   Each school will be responsible for determining the process by which they choose their student/supervisor representatives to the program. Each school will also be responsible for advertising this program to their students and faculty.

  1. Each student will be provided with a priority code to be used to register with for the 2021 CSPS Symposium once registration opens.  Further details will be provided at a later date.
